The Greatest Friend a person can ever have I have found is Holy Spirit. More closer than a brother (Proverbs 18:25), more caring than any mother (Isaiah 49:25 “Can a woman forget her own baby and not love the child she bore? Even if a mother should forget her child, I will never forget you” GNT Bible), more instructive than any father (2 Corinthians 6:18 “ ‘I will be Your Father and you shall be my sons and daughters’, says the Almighty” GNT Bible), more brighter than any sun or moon, (laughs) so you can see your way in the day or dark for in Him is no shadow of turning(James 1:17). He is my Papa, the Holy Spirit of GOD. I have found Him to truly be the best and so can you, that’s if you haven’t found that yet. If there is one true thing that I can undeniably say JESUS has done in my life, I will say ‘Smile’. Yes He makes me smile and laugh (Phillipians 4:4)
Rejoice!!!
Back before this time, all I could really do was frown. I was a sad kid, resentful even though I didn’t act it. It’s true presence was clearly seen on my face. Offended, not offended that’s all I did best with my face but the moment I realised JESUS wasn’t just asking me to live a master-slave life with Him but rather He said He calls me Friend (John 15:15). It became a turning point in my life basically because then I began to hear the voice of GOD in my spirit man.
I was quiet yet unforgiving storing people’s err within to the thought that one day when I was much older I would avenge myself on them. Lol, I was like a dump site absorbing more toxins than I could bear. But Christ came and although not immediately, I began to worry less, praise more, talk about my true feeling more to Holy Spirit, the GOD I couldn’t yet see but knew heard me. The key is letting yourself see you the way GOD sees you. As loving as our Heavenly Father is, He still leaves us to make our choices. Was I praying when I talked about them… Nah, I just kept talking like he was sitting there and doing my usually thing like when you’ve got your friend in the room and you’re sorting your clothes out. That kind of stuff. Amazingly, he wasn’t bothered I was doing else. He heard me. He heard and understood every word I said.
Contrary to what we’ve been made to believe, GOD cares about everything. I mean everything! Even the weird stuffs you may not tell others about like shaving, not that he is authoritative and all, just if you care to ask Him about it, He is sure to help you with the best method. Shocking! right? The truth is He still knows and sees you even if you act like He isn’t there so why not just ask for help when you need one. After all, He cares about our personal hygiene just as He cares for our soul and every day life.
3 John 1:2 “ My dear friends, I pray that everything go well with you and that you may be in good health – as I know you are well in spirit. ” GNT Bible
Wow! I didn’t intend to write this but Papa has got His ways. Oh and just a reminder: JESUS cares and like the hymn says “… take it to the LORD in Prayer” and the bible confirms it saying;
1 Peter 5:7 “ Cast you anxiety on Him because He cares for you” NIV Bible
You too can be changed. Your physical attitude may not change completely immediately but you can be sure that within a little time you will see that GOD has transformed you into a beautiful ‘person’ in and out. Just in sincerity of heart, tell it to Him saying:
LORD JESUS I receive You as my LORD and Saviour. I thank my Heavenly Father for letting You die on the cross for me hence showing me the great love You have for me. Grant me today and always your grace to follow You and let me never walk down the path of darkness I have left behind me. Also, thank You for Your Holy Spirit who will teach me all I need to know about Your Truth and give me the Power to live as a son of GOD. It is written that by Your stripes I am healed and also who the Son sets free, he is free indeed. Thank You JESUS for receiving me as I have received You. And thank You Holy Spirit for our life long friendship that begins now. How are you Holy Spirit? Because I believe I will be great from now hence forth! This I believe in the name of JESUS, Amen”.
If you have just said this prayer, I am so happy to call you my brother or shall I say sister (laughs). I know for a certainty that something great has started within you and I am going to hear the wonderful testimonies. Please don’t stay idle! You can always get an eBible or a hardcopy for the nearest stationery store to keep growing in the Spirit as you ask the Holy Spirit to help you understand the Father’s Word. After all, JESUS is also called the Word of GOD (Revelations 19:13).
